York

As part of a UK trip this summer, we spent a few days in the charming city of York.

The Minster is the beacon of the city and we had a terrific view of its towers from our beautiful hotel room.

There was always lots happening by the Minster, including this Viking Bachelorette Party.

The Charter House, which is attached to the Minster, has a pointed peak that covers a sunburst dome on the interior.

By day, the park beside the minster was a lovely place to sit and sketch...

...and by night, there was still enough lamplight for a quick sketch.

After a few quiet days in York, we packed up and headed for Manchester, for the 7th International Urban Sketchers Symposium.

Next post: Manchester!
